Bitto PDO Lollipops
The recipe of the Lecca Lecca, aka Bitto PDO Lollipops, is easy to follow and a fanciful original idea for an unusual, creative aperitif!
Line a baking tray and butter it so the lollipops can be easily removed once cooked.
Take different shaped moulds and fill them evenly with a sprinkle of coarsely grated Bitto cheese, being careful not to leave any holes so as to give the lollipops a smooth homogeneous thickness and prevent them from breaking during cooking.
Delicately lift up the cheese-sprinkled moulds and place a wooden skewer in the centre of each one.
Cover the top part of the skewer with cheese.
Cook in a pre-heated oven at 220 degrees for approx. 5 minutes, until the cheese goldens and forms tiny bubbles.
Serve with a good glass of Valtellina Superiore DOCG and buon aperitivo!
